DECEMBER 9, 2018 – Mike Ashcraft
Putting our trust in the unpredictability of living in a broken world leaves us with fragile footing. Protecting our peace actually undermines the possibility of truly encountering the thing we crave - a peace that passes all understanding that guards our heart at the deepest levels. The fear of letting go robs us of peace. No matter how many times we are let down, we will continue looking to lesser things to provide us with hope, security and purpose. The only thing that can alter our course is a beautiful disruption. Embracing an encounter with Christ enables us to surrender old familiar patterns for a new unfolding way. The disruption eventually brings us hope which produces peace. Hope provides the fuel for the future and the fuel to continue. Peace is the promise of protection for our soul that allows us to endure.
